Instagram: It's purpose is to both reach more people and inform those that only want to participate in the tournaments and special events.

WhatsApp: We decided to create WhatsApp community to both better reach out to the members, make conversations and discussions easier, as well as having an option for open Questions. Since we understand that the many different groups can be overwhelming we will try to explain what purpose each group is for, so that you can decide whether it is of use for you or not.

• Announcements: Through joining the community you will automatically be added to this group. Here admins can share messages of interest for the entire group. That can be announcements for special events, sharing results or pictures of tournaments, informing about changes, etc.

• TUM Chess - Everything: This is for every chess related topic you might have, this can range from sharing an interesting game or puzzle you encountered and discussing current tournaments happening to asking questions about the club. If in doubt its probably best fit to share your message here

• TUM Chess - Garching: This group is meant for players that are interested in playing chess in the TUM campus in Garching, this includes both the weekly meetups and if you are just spontaneously looking for someone to play with.

• TUM Chess - Innenstadt: This group is the equivalent for the TUM campus in the city center. It is meant to organize the weekly meetups in the city center, answer questions related to it as well as a way of finding someone to play chess OTB on the campus.

• Offtopic: Due to some incidents where the "TUM Chess - Everything" group got flooded with messages unrelated to chess and the chess group, we decided on creating a group where discussions can be moved to in case they spiral into nonsense
